Privacy Policy
This page explains what we collect when you use this site or book a cleaning, why we have it, who else sees it and how to get it removed. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.
Sherlock Holmes Cleaning Services is a cleaning company in Mashpee, Massachusetts. We are not in the data business. Everything below exists because it is needed to quote a job, show up at the right address and get paid.

Three kinds of information
What you tell us
Your name, phone number, email address, the town you are in, the service you need and anything you type into the notes field. If we go on to do the work, we also hold the service address and a record of the visits.
What your browser sends
Pages you opened, the site or search that sent you here, your rough location from your IP address, and your device and browser type. This is the ordinary traffic data any website receives.
What you send us later
Photos of a room, a carpet or damage, if you send them so we can price the job without a visit. Emails and text messages you exchange with the office.
We do not ask for and do not want your Social Security number, your date of birth or a card number by email. Payment is handled at the time of service and we do not store card details on this website.
What each piece is actually for
- To answer you. A quote needs a way to reach you and enough detail about the space to put a real number on it.
- To do the work. An address, an access arrangement and a schedule.
- To keep our own records. Invoices, what was quoted and what was done, which is what settles any question later.
- To see what is working. Which pages bring in enquiries, so we spend on the ones that do.
- To meet a legal obligation. Tax and business records we are required to keep.
We do not sell your information, and we do not rent or trade it. We do not send marketing email to people who only asked for a quote unless they asked for it.
And what you can ask us to do
An enquiry that never became a job is kept while it is still worth following up, then deleted. Records of work done are kept as long as our tax and accounting obligations require. Analytics data is held in aggregate and is not tied to a name.
Whatever we hold, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what we have about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete it, where we are not required to keep it
- Stop contacting you
Email contact@sherlockholmescleaning.com or call (774) 772-5630 and say what you want done. We will confirm it is you before acting, and we do not charge for any of it.
Children, security and changes
Children. This site is aimed at people hiring a cleaning company. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, tell us and we will remove it.
Security. The site runs over an encrypted connection and the office accounts that hold customer details are password protected. No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise: if something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.
Links out. Where we link to another website, their privacy policy applies once you leave ours.
Changes. If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. We do not make changes retroactive.
Ask us directly
If anything here is unclear, or you want to know exactly what we hold about you, the fastest route is the phone. There is no privacy department: you get the office.
