The fabric code decides the method
Read the tag first
W, S, WS or X. Using water on an S-code fabric leaves rings that no second attempt removes, so the tag is checked before anything is opened.
Test, then treat
A hidden seam gets the test patch. Pet stains and body oils need different chemistry, and the cushion core is treated as well as the cover.
Controlled moisture
Upholstery holds far less water than carpet. Low-moisture extraction and air movement mean a sofa you can sit on the same evening.

Can you clean a white or light sofa?
Yes, and this is where fabric code matters most. A light fabric cleaned with the wrong method can watermark, so we check first.
What about pet smells?
Surface odour lifts with cleaning. Anything that soaked into the foam needs treating at that level, and we will say honestly whether it is worth doing.
Do you clean mattresses?
